He had it paired with this awesome vintage jacket as well.
He looked so cool that I expected him to pull out a LED baton like those guys in the Tron movies and mount a digital super cycle.
I think he was also channeling Racer X of Speed Racer fame!

Another site worth taking a look at: Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute (BHSI). They have a huge amount of information on helmets generally along with details about a lot of specific helmets.
I was also about to write that I wish there were a better recycling alternative or something for old helmets. There's a bit of conservation ethos built in to C&V, so it seems kind of a shame to have people throwing out helmets every couple years. But then I noticed this at the BHSI website: Helmet Impact Performance Proven to Hold Up for Decades. Maybe we don't need to be replacing them so often if they haven't been crashed or damaged?
For those of you who do replace them, has anyone come up with a green option for disposing of the old or "upcycling" them into something else? (Upcycled bike helmet pots for plants on Etsy, anyone?)

Interesting thought EV , I think I threw mine in the recycle bin . I just got back from the BS , they didn't have the selection like they used to . They did have some MIPS helmets but they all looked like a bad acid trip . They did have a few that I liked , I went with the black as I thought it was a neutral color and I think black goes with most things . It has a good fit and is light . It doesn't have the tuffs in back like my old helmet , but I think I'm over that Well here it is in all it's glory . Thanks guys .

Nice looking helmet (as helmets go).
Of course, if you'd told us you had red pantographed seatpost flutes, we all might have better understood the importance of helmet style.

I'd add some black reflective tape to the helmet. Won't show at all, until headlights shine on it.
