Just got an email notifying me of a refund, "wrong item was sent." I didn't ask for one, not having seen it yet... I checked the tracking and it says "delivery attempted" at 8:26 this morning. Texted SWMBO to see if anyone had come. We have a "don't wake the baby" sign up so they might have just posted the note. Ordinarily if it were a normal size package, the USPS would leave it in the package box by the mailboxes, so it might be too long. Strange, very strange. Will report back.

Refund issued. Whatever shipped is still in transit, can a package be recalled by the shipper.

i also got a refund. my package is still several states away. I wonder if one can refuse to be refunded after its shipped? I mean... whose item is it once we pay for it and its in the postal system? is it the sellers until its in our hands?

I also received a refund, but that email came at about the same time that USPS delivered my package (per tracking through Amazon).
Nobody is home to tell me whether I actually received anything. I'm not expecting much. I guess I will find out when I get home.

If they've issued a refund on the grounds that they sent you the wrong item, and you have an invoice that says you ordered the exact item that shows up, I think they're guilty of attempted fraud?

usually they:
Make a pricing/inventory/description mistake
Customer orders the part
Pricing mistake gets caught at seller
seller ships out "wrong part-not what you ordered"
Customer receives wrong part and asks for refund
Seller says "sorry" and gives refund. lower "bad review" potential than refusing sale based on pricing mistake.

And you decided to buy one of these Park stands too.

I'm curious to know what people find in their boxes.

Well, it's not just elaborate, it's a lot to pay per mistake. They'd be out both the part and the shipping. I'm skeptical.

Sometimes the traceable shipped "wrong part" is lost in transit and they offer you $5 in credit or a month of Amazon Prime.

Yes, this is exactly what I found when I got home. They could have made the offer for a pair of tires.

I think we all got a refund and the letter stating the error + an offer for 45% off one tire + one tube as recompense. Anyone get a different result?

yeah, it seems almost like a marketing ploy to send out offers on discount tires we don't want. I am acting dumb and asking Amazon - particularly since I didn't even get the letter or the discount. I'll see what amazon customer service says about it.

do you want mine? i can take a pic of it. but not sure it would help. it doesn't list a coupon code even though it mentions using one for the tire and tube for one low price!

So the package was the letter? Mine still shows "delivery attempted" but I never could find a notice on my porch

Let me get this straight, you folks tried to buy something that was an obvious mistake in pricing, basically 'a steal', and are now upset that your theft was stopped?
