The machine's incasso brake mount, aero downtube and topmount shift levers all mark it as an early 1980's item, a part of the aerodynamic fad of that time.
To research it try looking at early 1980's Fiorelli (the actual maker) maker) catalogues. |
Boy, that's an eclectic mix of parts! Are those c-record hubs?!? Nice frame, anyway!
|
Edit: I think the front hub just has a part missing, I mistook it for c-record.

i dont know if i can do an upgrade to this bike,i love it as is,you cant imagine how she rides.. what would you suggest me to change? |
If you like its ride, and it fits, why change things? Clean it up good, grease it where required, maybe some fresh tires (if needed) and bar tape, possibly some cables. Things you need for regular maintenance and consumables like chains (again, if you need to replace this,) tires and such are all you need, IMHO. The blue looks very nice, with a suitable bar tape and everything polished up you have an original paint job, just some patina to keep it honest. Ride it and enjoy it.
Bill BTW: Welcome to the C&V Forum, also, good to have you join in, and you posted some good pics to get started the right way, too. |
I didn't mean eclectic as an insult, just an observation. I like it! I think if it were mine I'd go for yellow Benotto tape to match the decals and maybe yellow cable housing. Other than that I think it looks awesome. Glad you like the ride, which is by far the most important thing.

It's almost certainly the Columbus Air tubeset, as those are the proprietary, matching lugs. I'd put this closer to mid-1980s, as it has a front derailleur hanger and appears to have the post Portacatena dropouts.

https://shop.cicli-berlinetta.de/pro...ed-quill-stem/ made arround 1970's as it states on this site.. still havent fund any picture with an aero downtube.. very weird.. |
Here is a Fiorelli - Coppi catalogue of 1982.
Noted that a model called the model 1/C Campionissimo Super Professional has the topmount shift levers. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-M...Co/s640/05.jpg Unfortunately the illustrations are maddeningly small... Picasa Web Albums - Paolo Sterpi - CATALOGO FIOR... Could find no mention of aero tubing in text portions. |

Happily, not me dating. |
well this is my uncles bike and he give it to me,
i asked him some questions about the bike,he says he got it,in 1982,its a custom build, and he says that the frame rode it fausto coppi himself and its a custom,i dont know if this is possible, but i am starting to believe,as i dont see this kind of frame anywhere on the internet, plus the frame its not any other brand, because on the bottom it has an engraved C letter, stands for coppi and iv seen it in other coppi frames, weird things.. |
|
Bump, still looking for it
