86 trek 560 "I'm addicted"

Yesterday morning I called a guy on a pro series trek 560 he had listed for 150. He said he had a buyer coming by before I was able to get there. Anyways he calls me just before dinner and said the other guy wasn't interested, he also told me he'd take $100 if I bought it that night. So, being the sucker I am I went over and bought it.

Here what's been changed since original,

Stem and bars, now Cinelli Criterium and a black stem(probably Cinelli as the bars are 26.4)

Rear Derailleur, now Dura-Ace (haven't further identified)

Headset, now Hatta Vesta Sealed

Hubs, the wheels were rebuilt using Campagnolo Nouvo Tipo

Seatpost, now SR Sakae

Potentially a free hub and cogs but not sure yet, and some rather nasty looking paint touchups.

After riding it to lunch and back today I love it. The Cinelli bars supply a wonderful cockpit feel and the bike feels stiff and responsive. No I'm not going to win any contests on or with it, but it is a good addition to the "stable"

I guess maybe I should explain the "I'm addicted" title. This is my 5th bike now and I believe I am officially addicted.

1. Early 90s Diamondback Apex MTB I started commuting with back in May

2. 1975 Centurion LeMans I bought to fix up because of the 600 arabesque derailleurs and Suntour barcons.

3. A Flandria mixte with pinstriping that the wife had to have, she happily rides daily now

4. A Fuji and a Schwinn I bought for parts but rode briefly before donating to the co-op (I'm counting these as 1)

With each bike, each ride and each day on bikeforums I learn something I would have never known. Which just makes me want more.

True, no hyperlinks. Let me see if I can fix that.

If you hilight the link, right click and select "open in new tab" you can see the pic. But I don't see a way to grab the url in Instagram. Maybe someone knows; I am not a user.

Nice 560. Its not original but has some nice upgrades. Here's my 86 560. It is mostly original i have since changed out the seat and changed the handlebars/Brake levers since the original 600 Aero lever hoods are impossible to find.

Beautiful bike fleslider, the guy I bought it from put some diacompe hoods on it, that work well enough. I don't think I'll mess with it much until the winter.

I regret not buying a couple of the NOS 6400 aero levers when I had the chance for next to nothing.
