Raleigh Sports axle

Does this look like the correct axle for an Raleigh Sports 1967 vintage? It seems too long to me.

Looks a bit long, but that looks like a Raleigh hub (missing the oil port clip) and a Raleigh Pattern rim. If it works and the cones are ok use it. You could always find a shorter axle at a bike recycler/coop if it bothers you.

My 1968 Sports front axle measures 141mm and it's bone stock.

There were no Raleigh nuts on the front hubs according to the '68 catalog at https://sheldonbrown.com/retroraleigh...talog-1968.pdf

Ok, thanks, looks like it might be right, I havn't done the bearings yet, wheels don't seem bad but the b bracket needs some love. I should tear into it as soon as I recieve some parts. This is the bike, I got it on Craigslist:

Oooh, nice. B66 is good to have. The paint on the fenders looks good, too.
