Bianchi sprint
Hi
I've recently purchased a 1973_74 Bianchi Sprint or so I believe & I'm going to do a full restoration on it , only trouble is it haven't no idea how to go about ordering parts as not sure what will fit.
It's fitted with Simplex groupset and I'm wanting a new chain , bottom bracket , rear cassette, head sets etc etc oh & possibly new wheels as rear one has cracked around spokes .
Any help on any parts would be greatfully received

Welcome to forum!!! Slow down. Any pics of the bike?
First thing to do is make sure you actually need all those parts. If the US and BB feel tight or crunchy it is possible a good overhaul and new ball bearings is all you need. Depending on who built it and where finding a new HS and BB could be pricey.
A new chain should be easy something like a KMC 6 speed chain will likely work fine. You may not need a new freewheel, I doubt that bike has a cassette, unless there are teeth missing or it freewheels in both directions.
There are several great places on line for parts, EBike stop is one of my favorite,Niagara is good. However do not neglect your local bike shop. There knowledge and experience could be a valuable asset.

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Alot of the parts are being replaced just because they are nothing more than tatty.
BB is shot & even after replacement of bearings still horrendous !!
I'm opting for a new sealed BB so direction on this would be good.
HS seems fine other than very rusty , seen a nice Campag one SH or may just get mine re chromed. ...
Can you advise on how to choose the correct size ?
Chain is again very rusty as are the rear gears , I want to replace them so they look as good as the rest of the bike.
Been told Shimano or Suntour will fit. ...you agree ?
It's a 10 spd on the bike
Thanks Andy
P.s can't figure out how to post pics

This old Sprint was/is in great original condition...
This one was/is a little older but appears to be close to original specification also...
