Can someone help me ID this bike?

Does anyone know anything about Melchioretto other than it's Italian?

I am looking at picking one up but want to see if it's worth it after shipping.

Components are campy chorus.

What is the asking price and how much does shipping add?

I don't know much about the brand but it does appear to be a very nice mid 90's Columbus Altec aluminum frameset , similar Italian fame sets seem to be selling for $300 or so and whole bikes for $800-1100. This is very similar Cinelli Aliante that sold recently for reference.

Price is no reserve bidding, so low right now but who knows how high it will go in the week's auction.

The shipping is the kicker seeing as how it's international, at $130.

Is the campy chorus groupset of the late '80's any good? Or whatever period this bike is from. I'm not sure.

While there were some issues with the 7 speed Synchro stuff the 8 spd which this bike looks to have was a solid higher end group that was used for close to ten years so no major issue with the components, other than the gold wheels being a bit guady with the white frame.
