they're in Moser catalogs. Maybe Ray's History IT - I'll find the link and edit...
here it is, jpg 1989 catalog
cool website Raggi di Storia
and a great tee shirt graphic
the higher-grade shirts are on Egyptian cotton, which amazingly fine weave and thermally cool
And more for Moser fans, here's a Flikr album of the 1994 Moser catalog

I've got 3 in the stable
First up is a Cliff Shrubb
--- I'm trying to source the proper bull horns for it, -- the modern Syntace's are made for bar end brake levers so they don't play well with my Campy's -- this one hasnt been ridden yet by me --
--- I purchased it to build to have something cool to ride in our club's local 10 mile TT series ---- with the bars in roughly the position they are now, I can actually ride it though --- anything over 10 miles all bets are off though
---- The bike does not have a left side shifter boss, -- I guess they figure if you need a front derailleur, your too weak
I have a lot of track miles on this one -- funny thing is, when I was actually riding/racing this (early to mid 90's) - it was just an old bike
This Nishiki was my "road trainer" for years to roughly replicate my position on the 3Rensho -- frame was given to me and I built it up fixed --- again, long before the term "fixie" meant cool
This is not mine -- this is a pic from the web of what the bike is supposed to look like , but thankfully, I have all the parts needed to put this one back together stock --- just getting to it is a pain as I have no desire to ride the little beast anymore -- I am usually wrenching on things I want to actually put some miles in on

Dang, @DMC707, I don't really want to own one, but when I come down to OKC to steal back the Supersonics for Seattle, I'm going to try to stop in at your place a day early to test ride some of your funnybikes.

Since KD has flew the coop, -- if you want to steal the franchise back, I will look the other way -- LOL -- as long as i can keep Russell here, we can buy the NEw Orleans team back and re-build
One of the funny bikes would make a decent getaway vehicle if your destination was the length of a prologue away --- any further and you may be fudged --
I'd say if anyone wants to realistically try one of these out and is in the OKC area - I'm game -- problem is for most though , i'm 5'8 and the bikes are sized accordingly

I wouldn't call Moser's 1984 Hour Record bicycle "the source". The East Germans were using bicycles with sloping top tubes, smaller diameter front wheels and wheels and bullhorn handlebars at least of couple of years before that. There may even have been others before the East Germans.

that's fair
1905 Quadrant, and there were a few American race bikes back then with forward-sloping top tubes, as well

The guy went a little too far with trying to modernize this one - with the tall stem and Profile's on there, -- but would be easy to put back to normal
The early 90's were transitional years --- note Big Mig is using aero bars, but has a longer fork tube and a couple of inches of spacers to get the bars up to a usable position
Lemond's is still pretty darn low -- sheesh

Hi markwesti, thanks. The interesting thing I find with the Berretto is that it has 700c both front and back. It is very nice to ride regardless of the rake and often draws attention. The seatpost is ovalised and the frame is made for Shimano AX. Unfortunately the seatpost clamp is not at all effective so I have had to use two screws to hold the post in place. Other than that, I love it too.
The Kenevans frame came to me in a very shabby condition so I repainted it. Decals were not available so I made my own using rub-on letters that graphic designers used to use. This frame must have been an early build by Ken as it is not quite sorted out. It just likes to ride in a very straight line due to the combined geometry of the front end. I have used Shimano 600 arabesque gears and Weinmann Delta brakes as part of the build. The frame material is Reynolds 531 Professional (red label).

This eight year old thread started out as a Schwinn Prologue TT thread and morphed into featuring funny bikes of other brands.

Toby Stanton built this one, Hot Tubes out of Massachusetts. I found it in good shape, no components that could be used. It's a custom frame with a custom bar/stem combo. 700c rear, 650c front. It's about as 80's as you can get, True Temper. Fun bike to ride.

Death fork? Naaaah!!
Bought this about a decade ago and never got the right parts to build it up. It now lives somewhere in CA:

American Star bicycle, 1880's with radical sloping top tube and small diameter front front. Nothing aero about it, as it was designed to be prevent "headers". However, it meets two of the three funny bicycle criteria.
