Identifying the bicycle

Hello friends,

I was trying to identify this bike, but no luck. Could anyone help me please? :-) I think it should be an italian manufacturer. All components seems to be Shimano Exage. Seat tube is Gipieme. Here are the photos: https://goo.gl/photos/PcYAXm9MgsKQ77EJ6

Thank you very much!

Welcome! Not much to go on, really. Mid-range, mid-eighties is what I'm getting so far. Is there a serial number anywhere? What brand are the drop-outs? Width and threading of the bottom bracket shell?

Heart-shaped cutout on the lower head lug indicates De Rosa? Perhaps not definitively.

I'd say definitely NOT a DeRosa, but the cut-outs are certainly more heart-shaped than a lot of the so-called hearts we see in lugs. Still, with the details that I can see here (key-slot in seat clamp ear, style of forkcrown, way the fork-ends are brazed-in and the curve of the blades and the apparent smashed-and-brazed stay caps) it doesn't look much more than "mid-grade", but better detail pics and some specs are needed.
What's the size stamped on the GPM seatpost? Can you tell what the BB threading is? Anything stamped on the BB unit/cups?

Looks like my DeBernardi-made Titan frame.

^except the seatlug on this (DeBernardi/Titan?) looks to be investment-cast whereas the OP's looks to be stamped, plus the fluted staycaps look cleaner.
Still, maybe on to something as far as it being an Italian contract-built frame...

FWIW, the same lugs just turned up on a Venturi in the C & V Appraisals & Inquiries forum though it has embossed BB shell and stay caps, https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...nfo-value.html

It should be easy to distinguish Italian (36mm BB cups) from any other origin (35mm = 1.375").

Thank you all for you insights! I just uploaded plenty of new photos, please take a look at them, maybe it will be very clear for someone, what kind of bike is this.

https://goo.gl/photos/PcYAXm9MgsKQ77EJ6

As John E suggested, BB cup is 36 mm, so this should clearly point at Italian frame. By the way, the frame size is 62 cm - for me, this is very unusual size (big), couldn't this fact narrow the possibilities?

This lugset paired with this seat stay treatment was also employed by Fiorelli for a few years.

Thank you all for the insights! I just added more photos to the album. The BB cup is 36 mm - so according to what John E said, it should be Italian brand. Any other ideas how to narrow the possibilities? :-)

Thank you for the additional pictures. The spindle confirms the Italian BB shell. The '87' on the seat post suggests a 1987 production date. If that is original than I'd say '87 or '88 for the bike, which looks quite plausible. What is the seat post outer diameter? It will tell us something about the quality of the tubing used.

Along the line of the Italian flavoring it has, the lugs, heart shaped cut outs and seat stay cap concave treatment, as well as the brake stay bridge are all similar to my Medici Pro Strada. I would venture the guess that the influence of the Italian school reached far and wide, since Mario Confente's imprint is on the Medici program and its connection to Masi California where he worked prior to the soap opera ending they had. As said above by a few, a serial number would tell the experts where to look.
