Someone had taken off the original black vinyl chain stay protector and applied the clear tape over it. Cannondale was still using Imron when the bike was built. Someday I will get around to repainting it.

Guerrilla glue retails a clear vinyl fix it roll. I also use the rubber sram cable covers.

+1 on electrical tape. I just wrap the cables, not the bike.

Electrical tape is easy to find, cheap to buy and matches most housing colors.
