I found some 28h vintage Campy Record hubs for a project I'm working on. It would be hard to justify a 32h limit if 28h was available (track?). Although my rims will be 90's vintage.

I've heard that the Italian Eroica welcomes new frames (lugged steel, horizontal TT) with vintage components, or vintage characteristics.

I'm doing the Coastal again- how about you?
Hopefully a pre-ride on Saturday afternoon like last year as well!

See ya there

Clifford- Really, honestly, there is no L'Eroica Mafia inspecting the bikes in CA. If you just HAVE to show up with a 28 spoke wheel or a semi-aero 25mm rise rim, doubtful anyone would notice or care. Last year saw several aero brake cable setups- not many, but a few- and generally speaking, people are VERY welcoming to other participants. It's all for fun!

I certainly welcomed the dude on the tigged frame and indexed shifters as he took his pulls into the wind on the way to Cambria.

Whew!!!!

All my future C&V builds will likely have Origin8 Classique or TRP RRL aero brake levers, or something similar.

And, if I can get things organized, I should have a "new" CF build to bring to the next Portland C&V show & ride. But, it will be at least a year till I head down to California.

Any chance of moving the 2018 Eroica to Weed? Or better yet, to Crescent City? There are supposed to be some beautiful vintage trees around there!!! Maybe in June?

Well, my friend who makes a slotted cleat with float for a 3 bolt shoe finally has some product available. He is reserving the batch for people who are doing Eroica CA. As one of the guys who tested all of the prototypes, I must say I really like them.
Check out Corsa Cleat if you are interested.
