What model and components on this Nishiki?
Going to see this Nishiki this afternoon. I asked what components but didn't get a reply.
Googled around but couldn't find that exact paint job.
Wondering about tubing and components. I think I can see a Biopace sticker so a Shimano crank.
I'll check the seat post to make sure it's not seized with being jammed so low.

Hard to tell, but I'd guess Shimano 600 drivetrain, and yes, Biopace rings. Looks like a tubing decal on the fork blade. If you're lucky it will turn out to be Tange Champion tubing of some sort. All in all, looks like a mid-level 1980s bike with replacement stem, pedals, and saddle.

I'll second the Shimano 600 drivetrain comments -- more particularly, looks like a 600-6208 rear derailer (see pic). I'm guessing the crank is Shimano 600 of the same generation, definitely pre-6400.

Not sure of the year, but it could be a Landau Tri~A [I think 1985 was black/pink, so the one you're looking at could be 86 or 87]. T-Mar would know for sure.

Actually, I was thinking a circa 1987-1988, Canadian market, Landau Tri-A with Shimano New 105. The 1989 version used the mono-stay. Obvious replacement bars, stem (with threadless extender), saddle and pedals.

Well crap, made an appointment, drove 40 minutes and he had already sold it.
Don't really care about the bike, it's nothing special, just the wasted time and gas.
