Schwinn circuit score! Sexy Sante
Haha. I am actually working from home today so I can give it a once over. It's in good vintage shape, full Sante groupset with some Look carbon pedals, newish tires, new cables and bar tape. Too small for me, so I will be selling the frameset once I swap the Sante over to my 24" circuit frameset which is my size.
Scored it for $160 which IMO is a decent deal. I don't see them a ton in this market and they are usually out of my desired price range.
A couple of questions:
- I don't have tools for a headset removal and install. What is a reasonable LBS charge for this service?
- any groupset quirks (outside of uniglide) that I should be aware of?
- are Sante slr levers similar shape to 600/105 levers of the same era? The white hoods are beat, so I don't know if I can revive them. May have to settle for new black instead.
I am terrible about pic posting promises, but I will have some crapppy pics up within the hour!

Watching. 🙂 That Sante group doesn't show up often, as I'm sure you know. Interesting, that you just happened to have a larger frame that "needed" those parts. You must have been hoping for this to come together, for awhile. 😎

As usual!!
Ask my old lady about it. Apparently being punctual is not always a strong suit! Ask and you shall receive.
I am a resizing newb, so it might be small. I just took it for a 5 mile shake down, and the small frame killed me. Oh well, it makes me excited about this project. Too much to do, too little time!

I am partial to the group, even though the astetics are not my usual style. That being said, it will allow me to make my frame original, which will make me happy.
I forgot how snappy the ride is. Great handling.
And yes, I have been looking. I set up my frame with some rsx/rx100 STI parts and it didn't feel right to me. This set up is ideal for me, and just feels nice. I wills swap the STI set up to one of many projects at some point. Just wish the paint on mine was as nice as this. Oh well, that is what media blasting and powder coat is for.
And I feel I lucked out. Circuit was misspelled and the ad was 2 months old. Worked in my favor I guess.
