Anyone know anything about Lancella?

Hi all! I'm interested in learning something about Lancella bikes if anyone knows anything. I can't seem to find very much online - CR doesn't seem to have anything, and the only reference here at BF seems to be this: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...l#post13147746. That seems positive, given the build of that particular bike. But I'm curious to know more, like were these custom from a small maker or were they a shop brand that had its frames made by someone big or what?

So how about it? Any of the experts here remember these?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know anything about the brand. I'd start by checking the threading to see if it is Italian manufactured. Then I'd be checking the seat post size and steerer column to try and determine the tubing. If it's a brand being manufactured by a mass volume manufactrurer, we can often identify the manufacturer via the serial number format, Of course, pictures always help.

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, I was looking at a bare frame on CL, but it seems to have been sold. The mystery will have to continue until I find another. On a different note, I think I have a line on a Scapin frame, and I believe you've commented favorably on those in the past, @T-Mar.

Yes, my all time favourite frame was a 1974 Scapin SL. It's edged out a lot of other high end frames that I've owned over the years.
