Looking for something called "Rim Strip"

Has anyone run across a chrome polish/rust removal product called "Rim Strip"? This was a regular on-the-shelf chrome cleaner back in my Adams Cycle days back in the '70's.

It can be best described as a Turtle Wax Chrome Polish with some kind of abrasive sand added to the liquid, thickening it and making it an absolute terror on rusty rims, to the point that you had to use it carefully on Huffy or Murray rims, as it would tear thru the cheap chrome. It was wonderful on Schwinn rims, no matter how badly they were rusted, as it would bring them back to like new condition. Haven't seen it available since I left the shop back in the day.

What got me going on this was the front rim of the '74 Raleigh Record I'm putting back into shape for sale. As it's only one wheel, and I want to knock it out today, I didn't want to bother setting up an oxalic acid bath. I'll save that for multiple projects.

Try scrubbing the chrome with crumpled aluminum foil and a little water.

The job isn't severe enough, so Turtle Wax is working just fine. While I was doing the job, it brought back memories of the stuff, so I just got wondering . . . .
