help needed to indentify peugeot frame model

Hello there, i have recently purchased a bike which i believe to be a peugeot . it has been painted but i am intending to restore it to original , can anyone help as to identifying the model . the frame minus bottom bracket weighs 2.0kg and is 54cm. there is a serial no. under the bottom bracket which as far as i can make out reads Y8090591 but i am not sure about the 5. i have taken the paint back in certain places and it appears to have been white originally. i will include as many pics as i can to aid identification . The groupset on the bike is shimano 600 6400 throughout except for the calipers which are golden arrow 105 . The dropouts are simplex .

1988 Peugeot Sante frame, but with a 600 group?

HERE'S a catalog so you can compare the lugs, braze-ons, etc.

Plain, windowless Bocama lugs, Simplex dropouts, slotted top tube cable guides, semi fastback seat stays, and if the stay ends at the dropouts are domed, does seem to point towards it being a mid to late 80's Peugeot. Only thing that does not look familiar is the very curved top fork crown, but the French 531 decal on it hints at it being original to the frame.
I think this is from the time they were about to transition to other tube set models and brands for their top of the line bikes in the late 80's (From their usual Reynolds 531 to 753 and Columbus SLX.).
It could be a 1986 model PX10.

Wouldn't it be helpful to know where the OP is? The chrome on that fork looks to nice to have been painted as would be the case on the U.S. Sante model.

Stars and swirls, and the OP says it seems repainted. Sometimes you get a clue from an outlet or heater unit but I am with non-fixie I thing somewhere in the Empire.

Perhaps it's a late 80s Aneto?

thanks, i am looking at all the possibilities , the serial number starting in 8 leads me to believe that it is a 1988 bike so maybe a late px10 . i am having it soda cleaned so will have a closer look at all the braze ons etc when it is stripped of paint

The S/N seems late for a 1988 model but the French market PX10 Puymorens fits the bill. It used Simplex dropouts, has chromed stays and forks, Reynolds 531 Pro (red) and was equipped with 600. The catalogue image isn't good and it appears to be older New 600EX. However, 1988 was the first year for 600 Ultegra and I can't imagine Peugeot specifyng an old group on their 3rd from the top of the line model. The catalogue picture with New 600EX may have been a concession if the photos had to be taken before Peugeot rec'd their first shipments of the new 600 Ultegra from Shimano.

Edit: Oops, I saw the OP found the same thing while I was posting.

Yes it appears so , i do believe it might have been red originally as i see evidence under the white paint
