Specialized 10 speed Allez with Campagnolo
I found an older (guessing early 80's) Specialized Allez with what appears to be a Campagnolo group set. Anyone have an idea about its value. Its definitely rough , trying to decide if its worth $100 or less to me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

This is a trick question, right? Buy it and ask questions later.
I'd pay a $100 all day long for this bike. You can harvest the parts and sell the frame for around the asking price. You can use or sell the parts or you can refurb the bike if you like it.
It is not a complete campy NR group (the brakes are not) but it looks to be most of a group (tough to tell from the crummy pics). It looks like the derailleurs, cranks, hubs, and quite possibly the pedals are campy. Plus this is a very desirable frame. This is a smoking hot deal.

I honestly do not know how much a lot of these bikes are worth, if I did I would not ask. I do appreciate all the help and I'm waiting to hear back from the owner.
I have no clue as I have not physically looked at the bike.

The crankset alone is worth a Franklin these days.

That is a very early Allez, 1981 or 1982. After that they changed the head badge. Konno built? Hard to tell from the pics, but maybe. Don't think, just buy it.

$100 is a terrific deal for this bike. Finding an early Allez with horizontal dropouts and vintage fork crown is hard to come by.
At the very least, buy it, sell the parts and then offer the frame for sale here for $100. I'll be the first in line

I appreciate it very much everyone... The owner and I are talking now about the bike and it looks like its a frame in my size so I may just restore this assuming there are no issues with any of the components.
I actually have a set of Modolo brakes I can put on this frame .
