any experience with Michelin Pro 4 Service Course
Title says it all: Any experiences, good , bad or other with Michelin Pro 4 Service Course 25mm
Some how I picked up a 2 inch piece of spoke when I last flatted..... went thru both sides of the tube. And the hole in the tire is getting bigger....so I am a bit paranoid with longer rides coming up.
thanks

Running them on my 85 Ironman, with about 800 miles in so far and wearing well. They replaced Continental Gatorskins, which I was constantly getting flats on, as well as having issues with the sidewalls. The Michelins seem to be a smoother ride and more grippy on turns. Very happy with them so far. When the time comes, I'll probably get them again.

Love my michelins pros, have been using them on all my bikes for well over a decade. No problems and I ride on Chicago/Illinois roads...

Flats are a lottery. Riding certain tires doesn't magically put nails or glass on the road ahead.
If you hadn't run over the spoke, you wouldn't have flatted, and conversely, it would likely have flatted any tire.
This isn't intended to imply that some tires aren't more flat resistant than others, just that a single event with something that might have flatted any tire is no cause to suddenly start worrying.

Running them on my only modern-ish bike, the 8-speed Ergo Davidson. Seemed the perfect rig for them. I love the feel on the road, pumped them up to 125psi, no problem. They do wear faster than normal, it seems, but then they're a performance tire. Maybe a little fragile (I've gotten the odd cut here and there from MUP riding), but no more than Vittoria's Corsa series tires. I got mine on sale for around $40 each; a deal in my book.
I run black tread/white wall - looks almost vintage.

Michelin Pro has been my go to tire for a long time now - since they were called Axial Pro. Good all around performance tire. They don't stand out in any particular area, but handle nicely, fairly durable and can frequently can be found for $30 or sometimes less on the British sites.
When I really wanna tart up my bike, I go with the Veloflex Master or Victoria Open Corsa.

I think they're very nice and often a bargain as mentioned. I ran mine at 90psi and they measured more like 26-27mm (25mm stated).
