Vintage Canvas and Leather Panniers...

Picked these lovely old panniers up the other day. They look to be brand new. The old fellow I bought them from said that he brought them to Canada when he moved here many years ago. He added that he never used them.

The bags are black canvas with leather fittings. There is what I expect is a water resistant lining inside. They are quite flexible and come with the original bottom pieces. Length is 15 inches and height is 14 inches. Width is about five inches.

I did not take a picture of the underside, but there are leather straps there that look like they would fit a Pelisser rack very well. That is just a guess as I don't have a rack to compare to. Anyway, the pics and what would you think this set to be worth..?

I goofed with this thread. I meant for it to go into the appraisals forum. Sorry.

Attractive and would look sharp on a few vinti bikes ;-) I'm all ears-

Have to add, any older style pannier vs. modern is the only way to go. For the wet, drysacks as liners work well.

I only have one of these and it's never been on a bike to my knowledge.
