Vittoria Pave Tubulars

Looks like they have discontinued these. Very unfortunate. Great Tyre at a pretty reasonable price.

Are they just messing around with them? I had read mixed reviews of the 700x24 series (so never tried 'em), but then I talked with a rider using the newer 700x25s, and he really liked them. Might they just be widening them some more, as pros continue to adopt [slightly] wider tires?

One can only hope.

Ambrosiana Gomma appears to be still independent.

Nice to see they have not been devoured by one of the giants...

Now if we could just get them to put their brake hoods back into produzione.

No it looks like they have completely discontinued them. On all the UK sites they are listed as discontinued. Or no longer available. Replacement is the Corsa. Great Tyre but $30 more each.

Yeah, discontinued a year ago I think. I got a few extras but I'm gonna miss them.

Yep. It looks like when they introduced the IsoTech G+ tread compound a while back, they replaced their previous high-end road tires with the current Corsa lines.

The Corsa is being pushed as their all-rounder high-end road tire, while the Corsa Speed is a lighter, thinner no-protection tire for all-out rolling performance. (The interesting detail is that the clincher version of the Corsa Speed has a major difference from all 3 other Corsa tires: tubeless casing.)

Great Tyre at a pretty reasonable price.
Weren't they only as cheap as they were because of the discontinuation? They were a high-end road tire with a high MSRP.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but does anyone have experience with the Corsa Elite? I'm getting a tubular wheelset for my modern bike and they're a decent price, $63.

I have the 25mm version. Rides good.....holds air like you would expect a clincher to hold air.
Sometimes they are on sale for about $47 here if you watch:
https://www.biketiresdirect.com/prod...r?fltr=&sg=500

Claimed weight 290g.. I weighed them at 300g.

I have 2 sets of the Graphine tubs on 2 different Bikes. They are outstanding Tyres.
The only drawback, as with all high end Tubs is they loose air quickly.

You have to hand it to some tire companies. As it seems like whenever you finally find a good one, they always seem to discontinue it my favorite tubular Schwalbe Milanos, went out of production after only buying two pairs. Did not see anything wrong with it, but there they go, replacing it with a heavier tire! And all the stock out there of the good one is all gone within like 6 months!.....Aaargghh!!!
I found another good tire brand model to replace it despite the odd faint blue sidewall it had. But after buying the few I could find it turns out Michelin just made a couple of hundred for pro teams and I was just cleaning up the few extras left out there.....Aaaarrgghh!!
I was gonna try out these Vittorias.......but Aaaarrrgh!!

What air pressure do you run? When I rode tubulars way back in the day I was pumping my tires up to like 120psi. Everyone did then, even on clinchers. Now that I know better I keep my clinchers around 65/75#. I don't know if tubs require more pressure, I wouldn't want to roll them off the rim.

I was also looking at the Conti Sprinters, they're similar to the Elite's and have good reviews and they're $56 right now. But I don't know if the valve cores are removable on them. I would like to put a little sealant inside to be safe.

Running 90-95 back, 85 front.
Valve core is removable on these Corsa Elite butyl tubulars.

Glued on with Tubasti... so I can get them off if I flat on a ride.
I am not an aggressive rider so I don't worry about them coming off.
