Italia Bikes
Who made the "Italia" brand, back in the 70's and 80's. Got into a discussion who a fellow club member and he said prisoners in Italy made them. I said I thought it was Japanese imported by Mel Pinto.
I knw this has been discussed in the past, But I forgot, and the searches did not turn up anything
Thanks

Curious regarding the origin of this marque as well. About 1975-76 picked up a lady's model Italia partial cycle at a junk yard in San Jose, California. It was constructed for 650B wheel. Was never able to learn anything with respect to the maker. Had internally routed cables and likely dated from somewhere between late '50's and mid '60's. Obviously an Italian product.
