Peugeot Paris
Found this one from a trash bin. And wanted to save it. Pic taken just after I got the bike home. Wheels are toast, but the frame and front fork looks to be in great condition. Nice crome fork. No seatpost though.
Makes me wonder the year of manufacture. '87? Looks like Tourmalet. This one made in France.

Based on the decals, I would guess that the frame was made in 1989 or 1990.
The serial number will tell the manufacture date.

I'm stripping the bike down to frame tomorrow. There's a plastic cable guide under the bb if the frame number is there. Helps to get some parts to it if the bike is from at least late 80s.

Based on the Bikeboompeugeot.com catalogs, that color scheme with the multi-colored slash on both the seat tube and the top tube seems to have only come on the 1990 or 1991 model. The US '90 catalogs show only a seat-tube color slash. The site doesn't have any France catalog for the year though. I'd put it either 1990 or 1991.
Here's a page from the 1990 Germany catalog.https://www.bikeboompeugeot.com/Broch...hure%20Pg3.jpg

Measured the seat tube and got 24mm. Have to see the pics of Tourmalet or something similar to see if there was a plastic muff used with the seat post.

The seat tube should be 25.5 ID. I replaced the steel seatpost with a 25.4 mm one, and then used a small shim to take up the .1 mm slack. It's caused no problems.

Okey. I have to check if the seat tube head is pressed a bit together and open it with something and make the measurement again. If it eats 25.4 then there is no problem. The steering tube took newer 22.2, so it is easy to convert to ahead with adapter.

Looks like it was made in the spirit of more desirable Peugeots, but it's a low end model. The components are all pretty low end as well, so get ready to toss anything that looks seized or bent/broken.
