There are a bunch of really nice rides in this thread, congrats everyone.
A couple of mine:
Jeunet city bike. $22, used to have a bent Huret rear d., ugly brake levers and plastic thumb shifter, and broken generator lights.
I guess it's typically french in that it doesn't look epically nicely made, but it's got a number of really nice features that make me like it quite a bit: black head lugs, wing nuts, internally routed wiring, fancy chainguard, ridiculously light steel wheels...
My wife's commuter, a Raleigh Record mixtie, I forget the year. A combination of CL mixtie singlespeed, rescued modern hybrid, and hours of my time and sweat and made for something that really gets the love everywhere it goes:

Thanks! You too! Good of you to leave that lovely Jeunet city bike as is. Really sad to see folks strip and repaint just because paint/decals are a bit tattered. Imperfection IS Perfection!

Vintage Ride
Unsure of how exactly,I get photos from my files down to a acceptable size for here I'm hoping this link
to the photobucket album will allow everyone to see the retro restored 1981 Schwinn LeTour Tourist I spent the last two winters on.
My susan found it curbside 5 years back and it spent another two in the basement untill I went to see if a part from it would work on my 91 Paramount and discovered what a gem it was.
https://s96.photobucket.com/albums/11...view=slideshow.
It has a sanyo dynoroller generator powering old school head and tail lamps, Panasonic PaselaTG 27 x1 1/4 tires on sun at 18 rims laced to the oem shimano hubs.
Went with a B66 saddle and the old school bottle holder.
Blumels fenders were hacked up and nothing in white was available so I went with new plastic and used the krylon plastic paint in cream.
Sherwin Williams Automotive paints came pretty darn close matching the spicy chestnut oem paint so I could retouch the nicks and chips.
The amazing part comes when you pull up outside a LBS and everyone comes out to check out a 27 year old ride.

Not mine, but I just finished building it up for my sister. It's her first real bike. She's 11 and the idea is that she'll grow into it and be able to ride it through her teens.
Best parts are the NOS perforated leather Terry saddle and the 600 and 105 derailleurs.

Here's my Torpado. Not sure of the model but I'm guessing late 60's or 70's-ish.
Made in Italy imported by Baggio in Montreal.
It's a little big for me I'm keeping it in my stable.

My dad's bike. Just put bar tape (cost more than the bike) and tires (cost more than the bar tape) on it.
Not sure what it is, 12 speed, probably a varsity, weighs 37lbs.

1984 Centurion Comp TA
This is my 1984 Centurion Comp TA. Was my dads old Triathalon bike in 1984, decided to give it new life an converted it to a singlespeed (couldn't deal with those downtube shifters). Original Shimano 600 components with Dia-Compe Aero Gran Compe levers. Awesome to ride.

I have been watching them come and go on ebay for almost a year. Over that time I got a pretty good idea of what they went for in what condition. I've seen nicer but they went for a lot more. I think this one will clean up to be as nice as any I've seen on ebay, and I'm willing to put in the elbow grease to save a few bucks. After I won the auction, I started building a new set of wheels for it. An almost new set of Normandy Luxe Gold Lable Comp Hubs and a set of new Rigida 27 x 1" double wall, clincher, eyeleted rims. I'll lace them up with Wheelsmith double butted spokes. I'm getting to old to be messing around with sew-ups. I'll keep them incase I ever sell the bike, that way it will be all original.

I figured an original owner who could still put his hand to a receipt almost as old as I am probably took pretty good care of the bike.
Agree on the sew-ups. Sounds like it found a great second owner.

I found this '87 Trek 330 Elance on craigslist in late June. I was looking for a used road bike, so it was pretty perfect for me. All it needed was new tires. I found it in this scanned Trek catalog, here and here. I've only ridden on it for about 30 miles, but I'm in love.
I found this 10-speed Skyway cruiser on craigslist the other day for $5. I didn't know if it was functional, but I couldn't pass up a $5 bike. The paints scratched, the grips are torn, and it needs new tires, but it's fully functional. It came with a childseat too, but I don't have any use for it. $5! I took an hour today and cleaned it up, so now it's shining on my back porch. Going off of the Shimano components, it's probably around a '74, but I don't know anything else about it.

Well, as per East Hill's request, here are pics of my ride...
Specs:
Bianchi Chro-moly 59cm
Shimano/Campy mish mash groupo
Cinelli Campione d'Italia handlebar 42cm or 44cm?
Cinelli 101 quill stem 120mm
Ofmega headset
Campy Record or Chorus or Athena seatpost
Shimano Dura-Ace crank 172.5mm
SDG Comp saddle
Mavic rims w Raleigh hubs
Time Racing pedals TBT
This baby is 13 +years old, depending on the parts. I'm in dire need of some new parts, especially wheels and i might consider getting a quill stem adapter and threadless stem. Finding classic stems is a hard find for a low price, especially on eBay. I would of loved to upgrade the breaks/shifters to some mid level Campy or SRAM Rival, but i'm told that my back stay wouldn't be able to hold a 9-10 speed hub/freewheel. Oh well, this is good for now.
Enjoy,
Richard
