Hi Riders,

I have two bikes that aren't going to Florida with me and I'd like to see them go to a good home.

#1 is a Peugeot UO-8, 1973-74 vintage. Reconditioned about a year or two ago. New tires and tubes, new cables, fresh chain. Broken Mafac levers were replaced with Shimano 600 units. New old stock Mafac pads in the Mafac Racers. Seat and post are not original. I found a really clean set of Simplex QR skewers on Ebay to replace rusted units. 20-21 inch frame. Photos have been posted here before.

#2 is a Puch, Ted Williams model from Sears, reconditioned 5 to 7 years ago. Gas pipe frame but with SR cotterless crank and long cage Shimano Tourney RD. Big, honkin' 34 tooth low on the freewheel. Tires are good. Brakes are Weinmann or Dia Compe. Original cable clamps are gone, replaced with zip ties.

I know, not great bikes, but exemplary of their time. If you're in The Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire and are interested, e-mail me. wsalati@hotmail.com

No, but if you have a 1975 Sears catalog...

The bike is Silver, 22" frame, red - white - blue Free Spirit decals, white padded bar tape. Good shape, not showroom.

I would love to take that Peugot, but I just wouldn't be able to give it the love that it deserves. Great job on the reconditioning, it looks great

I think distance is a problem unless you're at Dartmouth College. These bikes are for pick-up as I'm too busy to pack 'em. I'm in Springfield, Vermont. Exit 7 of Interstate 91. I probably have 40 to 50 dollars into each. I think $25 for each is fair asking. Offers will be considered.
