schwinn approved bar and stem
What are the early 80's schwinn approved bar and stem made of, actually I know the bars are Al, anyone know what is the stem made of?

Unique Vintage Steel
Stem is most likely an al alloy as well. My 80 traveler has a steel bar but alloy stem.
