Raleigh Competition Gs Questions

I’m thinking about buying a 1978 Raleigh Competition GS and have a few questions for owners of these bikes.

1) Does this frame have a relaxed or sporting geometry?
2) I noticed that the main frame tubes are made from Reynolds 531; are the stays made from the same material?
3) How much does a complete Raleigh Competition weigh?
4) Are there any problem areas that I should keep an eye out for?

Thank you very much for your response!

Regards,

Jason

2.) The whole shootin' match is 531 on the GS.

3.) 24 pounds, according to Raleigh's 1978 catalog.

The Competition has a geometry very similar to the Professional. Interpretation - sporting. If you want a more relaxed geometry, try to find an International.
