There are older pics, but I have only a few of the Yo in its current setup. In these pics the V-brakes were just replaced by Crystal Design cantis with Grafton FatFinger hangers. Suntour XC Pro levers operate the brakes and XC Pro 8 speed thumbies do the shifting. Initially I relied on GripShift.

The tires I bought many years ago. 5 euro per tire. I know the the guy who I bought them from still has many, but not for 5 euro anymore.

I am sure I haven't shown this one:

Photographed when the bike visited Slickrock.

It is a Grove Innovations Assault. Again a fade paintjob, but now with splitter-splatter. Less people will be familiar with the brand, but connaisseur know what Grove stands for: innovative out-off-the-box thinking, excellent craftmanship and flamboyant paintjobs. The welds are megatiny.

That Grove is like a roundhouse kick to the face. You should post a pic of the bar/stem.

Grove made two bar/stem-combos:
- the 'Hammerhead'
- the heat-treated 'Hothead'

The shown Assault has a Hothead. Detail pics of the Grove Hammerhead variation:

I just pulled my '95 Grove team bike out of the barn to bring it back to life. I got the frame, and built it up from there. I wish I had a set of those bars.

I don't believe Specialized has any bikes made in the USA. Giant probably makes most of them.
Taiwan is the country of origin listed on WikiPedia. My Rock Hopper does say on the frame it was "Designed in the USA"

Specialized Hard Rock Cruz

Trek 930

Both are $25.00 thrift store finds. The 930 is perfect for my 13-year old who is small for his age. He and I did 10 miles together on a local MUP yesterday.

HOT!! only drawback of those stem/bar combos is you're stuck with the bar at that angle though... flat bars at the "normal" angle hurt my wrists after 20 minutes are so

Not as pretty but I found a set of those not too long ago.
Unique bends on the bar. in the parts bin until the right project comes up:

Dan, I have had a love affair with the two brands since college. My buddy Chris, a local competitive racer lets me use his bikes or children as he calls them, lol. He has a nice collection, not as clean as Elev's but sweet nonetheless. So I get to play with them on occassions..

Thank you for responding. I think this is a 1992. I measured it center to center 52. tube to crank. I think I'll keep. Can't replace for
what it's worth. Thank you very much...........Kent

Thank you very much for responding. I will try to ride it before giving up on riding. I started in 1969 after running. But age etc has
taken toll. I set it up as a road bike trainer. I think it may be a 1992. Will keep for a while...............thanks again, Kent

Love that PDG 70!!!! I see a 50 with the red smoke/black frame on the library bike rack here, I should leave a WTB note on it some time.

Thanks, Tuck'! Yep, I'm very glad about it, but it won't finish its life already as the city-winter-bike (maybe a winter-trail bike though)

Right, then, 1991 it is! I thought 1990 from the serial letters of the gruppo, but I guess I lacked a bit more info for correct year

What I do like so much with those (I also have a 1997 RM Whistler) it's the lightness of the frame. I bought the Whistler for 700$ new fifteen years ago, and it weighs around 25 pounds for a 17.5". My aluminium hardtail, which is a Devinci Phantom from 2004, was paid 1500$ and is barely lighter, for a 15" frame!

Specialized Stumpjumper FS with Manitou Stroker FS Ti fork. Bike is in rough shape and the suspension is either really stiff or stuck. Any ideas how to make the suspension suspense again?

This is not all that old, but I still love it. 94 Tassajara, the paint is nicer than my 2010 trek and it rides like a dream. It looks sort of blue in the pic but it's actually purple.
