Need a good image of a Peugeot headbadge decal
One suitable for an early '70s PX-10. I found a couple, but both too small to be useful. Cough 'em up, you Francophiles.

The one with the square background or the one with the triangular background?
Or both?
Or both?

Do you mean this one, Mike?

It's not a transfer. It's a foil sticker.

MSWANTAK,
If you are the decal guy, I need a set just like the one on that PX above. Although my bike is a U08, the decals on the pictured bike look just like the ones originally on my '69. Have you recently auctioned off a set on e-bay?

This gets even funnier; I stayed up late last night finishing the art on that headbadge decal so I could send the guy a proof, and turns out it's the wrong one. The right one has the Peugeot mortice extending beyond the sides of the background, and it says, 'Made in France' under that mortice, in the red field. That's what I get for working with one eye open...
And yeah Tyson, I are the decal guy; e-mail me at mswantak@comcast.net, and check the website at www.velographicdecals.com.
Wasn't me on eBay; I can't see pitting potential customers against each other; it's unnecessary. These aren't NOS relics (which probably wouldn't be safe to use anyway). They're brand-new repros and everybody can have as many as they're willing to pay for.

mswantak - You've got (large) email. Best shots I can get of my 1972 headbadge, which fits your description... they're not great quality, but hopefully they'll help!

If you don't get what you want/need, email me, and I can get you a shot of an 80's model PX-10 headbadge, if that's the one you need. My husband has a PX-10. Granted, right now, he has our garage set up with a paint tent, so I can't physically get to it until after the first of the year, when he will be finished with his current project.

MSWANTAK,
I went to your site a few times hoping to find some late '60's Peugeot stuff. Since my U08 is not stock anyway, I don't care about matching exact years and models. Just something close would look good on Mimi's nice fresh white paint this spring! I'm sure she'll go faster with cool new decals. I want the fancy boys to know what is passing them in the last half of the Hotter-N-Hell this summer.

TysonB -- The samples at my site are the tip of the iceberg. E-mail me and we'll get Mimi dolled up proper.

After more communication with my customer, I was able to determine that this is the decal I'm after. There are a few permutations of this basic design; one has just a few shading lines on the lion and rock, one has more lines, and one has the few lines plus a black tint for shading. It's the one with few shading lines, and what I'm lacking is a decent image of the right side of the decal, showing the shading lines on the lion's head.

FWIW, the photo you posted is identical to the seat tube decal on the bike whose headbadge I've already emailed you.

I recently acquired a set of these transfer images, I am getting ready to repaint my 1973? PX10E. The decal set appears correct, except that the head tube transfer says "Made in France", which isn't on the foil transfer on the bike. I'll post pictures in another post.
The image above matches what is on my bike.

Thanks; anything like that is always appreciated. Look closely though -- usually on the ones without 'Made in France', the mortice containing the Peugeot logotype is only as wide as the background; on the badge above it extends beyond it.

The image below is from my PX-10, which I believe is a 1973 PX-10E or possible a 1972. The original Simplex rear derailleur is stamped "3 72".
Note that it does not have "Made in France" inside the decal, unlike the similar, smaller one on the seat tube.

Mike,
Make TWO sets of those, PLEASE. If they are not exactly correct for a '69 U08, they are very close. (I certainly don't know the difference!)
I promise, no one will ever mistake my U08 for a PX and I'm not passing it off as such (like almost EVERY Graig-lister does!).
PM me if you are at all interested!
Thanks,
Tyson
