AUD$1300 for a 1978 Peugeot?

While searching idly on Ebay yesterday I came across this puppy:

https://cgi.ebay.com.au/Peugeot-Troph...QQcmdZViewItem

AUD$1,300 is about US$970. At first I thought, surely, they can't be serious?! Until I looked again today and there's already a bid on. Guy based in Japan, guess he likes vintage bikes...

Does anyone think Peugeots of this era are collectables? Guess I'll have to wait another seven years for my 1985 12-speed to appreciate in value. Dang - knew I should never have done that s/s conversion!

Of course they're colletable! Some guys here have a garage full, but paid no more than $150 US for any of them. This is a PX-10 with cool gizmos woven between the spokes. No one on this board would give anything like this asking price for even the most pristine PX-10.
