    Warrior Bike

    OK, so I do a lot of hiking in the backcountry and come across my share of old dumps.

    Out there today, I came across an old bike with "Warrior" and the image of a rather Anglo looking Indian on the logo plate of the steering tube. It's a coaster brake rig but with thin 26-inch tires. . .what's left of 'em. The frame, bottom bracket, cogs, and chain are quite clean for having been in the weather for decades and the front fender looks salvageable. All else is shot or missing. Looks to my eye to be a '50s or early '60s bike.

    In all my years, I've never come across the "Warrior" brand.

    Anyone out there in Classic & Vintage land have any idea what I've found?

    Many thanks.

    No, but it's a good idea. . .watch this space.

    >>> did you salvage it?

    Well, uh, see, I wasn't EXACTLY on the "reservation" [if you catch my meaning], so salvage will need to be a mite. . .circumspect. In the end, I'll probably have a chat with the owner. . .better'n #2 shot in the pinfeathers.

    There's a photo of a '69 Firestone Warrior in our Picture Database.
