Schwinn serial number
The only number I can find anywhere on my Traveler is on the dropouts. It reads: 5B04137
There is nothing near the head badge that matches other discussions of the year/month or day it was made. just curious to see what you guys can make of it.

It sounds like a February of 1975 model. Does it look like this?

If not, then let's try 1985.

Hi Bob, that's my bike, but mine is Red. I recall buying it in the fall of 1974, after I got my first job (at a McDonalds), but that's 30+ years ago...maybe I bought in the spring of 1975? If it was manufactured in February 1975, I couldn't have bought it in fall 1974, but 1985 is definitely out.
