I received my Rivendell Romulus the other day and had a chance to snap a few pics before putting it together. First, I have to say that the bikes are packed so well I think they'd survive a nuclear attack. I saw foam, packing tape, and bubble wrap places I'd never expect. Kudos to Rivendell for being so thoughtful in their shipping department. I've pretty much assembled the bike. As a matter of fact, it took me twice as long to unpack it as it did to actually get it together. I'm now waiting to have the seattube honed so I can slide the Nitto seatpost into place without scratching it all to hell. Once that's done I'll post a few more pictures.

I was considering one of the "canti Roms" myself. Love to see pics of the final assembly.

It's really pretty cool. The finished bike is below.

If my test ride is an indicator it certainly is. I'm really glad I went with a 120mm stem, too. The top tube is only 58.5cm and the extra length on the stem let's be stretch out a bit.

metal cowboy -- How does your Riv Redwood differ from the Romulus - I know it is the larger frame, but what other differences?
