I hope my 830 decals are in there somewhere? I am nothing if not patient. I haven't really emailed Mike since I sent the photos of the decals. The old Trek wants to turn metallic black, but it's in no huge hurry and neither am I. I can wait.,,,,BD

Oh, c'mon -- neither one of you guys can convince me you haven't had ants in your pants to get a build together. I feel bad that I can't turn decal orders around any faster; I know if I was on the other end of the stick it'd seem like an awful long time.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to try velographics to replace the peeling decals on the Pinarello. I'll probably wait until I get another city beater, though, as I think it'd be wiser to abstain from brand-new decals that scream "hey, I'm Italian, steal me!"

i know each set are different, and custom jobs, but just a ballpark figure?

If you're looking for someone, I could set you up with an updated website and write you a one off ticketing type system for new orders so things can be a little more streamlined; maybe less stress.
I like what you're doing so I would cut you on a deal on it

I've been waiting for decals from Mr. Swantak since late February . How long should I wait . He states the turn around time for decals is 6 weeks . It's been more than 12 weeks . I call him and he says it's being processed . I'm not sure why he would give a turn around for 6 weeks when I am waiting for this long . Don't I have a reason to wonder if I'm ever getting decals made ? I tried to recieve my money back but he is telling me to wait . ******************************??

Oh I'm whining ? Someone sent me a message stating he did a trade off w/ Mike for some decals . After a whole year, He has yet to recieve them . Mike states it is a 6 week turnaround and he posted that fairly recently . Why would he post that when he has customers waiting much longer ? So you shouldn't be surprised if you don't receive yours Bud . Preparing other peoples work so they can wait that long ? How long is that ? 6 weeks ? If you receive yours, let me know .
QUOTE=old_alfie]Your whining about it isn't going to get your decals any faster; like people who keep pressing the button for the elevator. I'm in line too for a set of decals, probably some few weeks behind you and if whiners and snivelers keep pestering him that takes his time away from doing his job preparing other clients' artwork. Let it be Bud, you'll get em when they're done.

beeseecleta, I had a very simple order placed with that company a long time ago. Velographics simply forgot/lost my decals and contact information. My money apparently wasn't green enough for them. Seek alternate suppliers if reliability is a factor. Velographics work is apparently quite nice if it arrives, according to people on the CR list. Good luck.

IIRC there was a computer problem a while back with Velographics and some orders were lost along with the email addresses of the people that had placed the orders. May I suggest that an email be sent to them along with the specifics of the order asking for an update?

Not that I can speak for Mike, but being in a similar situation, all I can add is that your options for bicycle decals ARE limited.
You CAN get quality decals made in the stated 2-4 week time frame, every time.
By a big outfit that runs big jobs for big clients constantly.
It's what they do.
It'll set you back $200 on up!
IF you have the art ready in the type of computer file they use, with all the text as curves and the correct Pantone color codes.
Oh, and then you'll get from 10-50 sets of decals, depending on the final amount you pay.
OR . . .
You can find replacement decals that usually run $75 or more. Definately more if you need hard to find tubing decals.
OR . . .
You can scour eBay in hopes that there are some you can bid enough to win.
OR . . .
You can send Mike $40-$50 and know that someday you'll likely get a really nice set of decals!
and on THAT note, I have frames to paint!!

But you still don't answer the question of why would Swantak post that
it is a 6 six week turnover ? When he posted, I would have been way
overdue the 6 week mark . Swantak should state that it can take over
a year . I asked him for my money back, he says wait . There is some
other person out there who has been waiting over a year . I don't care
about decals as much as delivering what you tell your customers . If
I was to tell people I can get the job done at this amount of time paid up
front just to have them wait for an unknown amount time, to me, that
is not right . It's not rocket science .

Mike, on May 11th 2007, you posted the quote below .
You should have known that the turnaround time is not 6 weeks . On that time, I was way overdue longer than the waiting time you've given . There is someone else on this thread who states that you traded bicycle parts for decals . The person has been waiting a year for them . How could you state 6 weeks for turnaround of decals when obviously it isn't ?

Worst case at this point? You wait 6 more weeks.
Still no decals or refund?
FLUSH IT!!
Find the next "Mike" to throw $40 at!
If "he" delivers nice decals, then you have spent $80 for decals.
Which really isn't too out of line.
Good luck and I'll put in a good word for you!
Now, . . . about those Corky dcals?
