James -here it is.Sure I can drop it off.I thought about stealing the hub and making a 3 speed, but I just don't have the heart to part it out-not after heroically surviving Katrina under 5 feet of water for 30 days.I have plans for the rack-carrier,but otherwise it is yours. It actually looks pretty decent in person, and the paint is surprisingly responding to "scratch stuff and polish wax".The gold metalflake is coming out instead of the flat brown that it initially appeared to be.Thanks.Charlie.
PS This is a katrina bike I am trying to talk spiderman into taking. It weighs a ton(40 lbs) so it wouldn't be worth shipping anywhere.I have to restrain my part taking instincts because if I take the hub(the only part that casually interests me) it will never be rebuilt.Everything works on it,but it could use new tires(original I think-26yo).Heck,all the rusty cables work about as well as they would have 26 years ago.The rust might have actually improved the brakes.
PPS-It looks much better in real life!
