I saw a nice vintage Romic yesterday

I was making some adjustments to my Campy barcons the other day. After getting it adjusted on the bike stand I figured that an on road test was in order. I passed another rider who looked at my ride turned around and started to ride with me. He thought my Waterford was a vintage ride, probably the sprung Brooks saddle. I looked at his bike and was blown away. He was riding a mint Campy SR equipped Romic. He said that he bought it new in 1985 and would never part with it, I can see why. We bemoaned the proliferation of TIG welded and plastic, read carbon, bikes on the road. It was really nice to see another bike wth non aero brakes.
