grandson of Masi/Carlsbad ???

I have a Simonetti TT bike I got from Ebay. It says it was built by mike howard. I know Gian Simonetti and Mike go back to the Masi Carlsbad days, and then to Mondonico, and that there was ( Is?) a Simo
Cycles. Anyone know if this company/framebuilder still builds? any idea on when this bike was built? It's aero-shaped alu, 650cc wheel size, steep seat tube without cutout. compact frame.

Mike Howard and Gian Simonetti were the labor for Medici, and when that fell apart, of Simonetti that became Simo Cycles. When Mr. Howard got into legal trouble, Simo losts its welder, Simo closed not too long after it appears, last known, Gian was in Huntington Beach, Mr. Howard is rumored to be ready for parole soon.

Mondocino is a bicycle mfg. in Italy, they made frames for Masi USA, but long after Gian and Mike left.

I have a Medici, not regarded enough, as it was inexpensive for what it is, quite nice. Probably due to the whole saga of Mario Confente, Bill (sp?) Recht (Rexart), and the Union Pacific Avenue shop.
