Beast in a cage

The Merckx World One Hour record 1972 Colnago! What a place to put that bike! A metro station!

We should start a petition to have it moved to my apartment

One would wonder if you were to repaint and re-decal a similar-looking frameset to match, fitted it with similar components, then proceed to strut through that very station with it.

I believe that's the Eddy Merckx Metro Station. That is a gorgeous machine.

There is lots of speculation on that bike, do note that the pedal bodies and the seat post are dark, but not like annodizing, sure looks like old Magnesium to me, Pino Morrioni use Mg sometimes and Campagnolo was no stranger to it as they cast aerospace parts from it.

Quite a while back there was an ebay auction for a Mg Campagnolo rear hub body, it was about the same color.

So, where did the Windsor sticker go?

Colnago was reputedly furious about the Windsor stickers slapped on, so maybe they came off right after the run-
