Fifty bucks or two hundred? If the ad isn't hype and it is in excellent shape, and you want it bad enough, it could be a good buy. Still, best to be there and see it in person.

Ask the guy to take the fork out of the head-tube - or do it yourself. Look for Ishiwata stamped on the steer tube. If yes, get the bike. Ishiwata made frames for Fuji made of VALite, their proprietary chrome-vanadium steel. Ishiwata went out of business in 1992.
