Raleigh Lenton

I've read the Retro Raleigh page, but I don't know enough about Lentons to bid on it. Besides, I'd rather have a three speed. I'd be interested to know what the Raleigh experts think.

I'm no expert, but it's a later Lenton. The club bike era was pretty much on its last legs by then.

It's not 531 tubing. Plain-looking chainrings. Not endorsed by Reg Harris.

Probably rides nice, though. I have seen 531 Lentons go for $300 or more on occasion.

Early '60s machine, pretty much a Raleigh Sports with a wide-spaced rear triangle for the 5 speed rear hub. Not particularly a performance machine.

Nice looker though.
