cleats for quill pedals
I want to set up a pair of cycling shoes for use with quill pedals. Does anybody know where I can get a traditional style cleat that will mount on a shoe drilled for 3 hole look style cleats?

Adidas made them until recently, they still might. The Adidas cleats mount to the bottom two holes on the shoe.
Most Shimano road shoes also come with cleats suitable for toe clips and straps which use the Look drillings. I wouldn't be surprised if your regular bike shop gives you a pair if you ask for them.

from what I've heard (in Australia at least) shoes (road 3-bolt type and SPD 2-bolt type) come into the country with those type of cleats on them so that they are classified as cycling equipment and not clothing - this makes the import fees a lot cheaper! I'm going to get a couple of pairs out of the "cleat box" on monday. I imagine that if every pair of shoes comes with some, there must be tens of thousands of the unwanted things in shops all over the country...
