thinking about a chrome paramount

What are you opinions on this bike: ebay auction # 160000794073,

I am thinking about making an offer, The pics aren't spectacular nor is the description but it looks really clean, those pedals have to go though, but otherwise, damn! it looks hot.

I agree it appears to be in very nice shape. $1800 is at the high end of what these bikes have been selling for, but if it's as nice as the photos make it look, it's probably worth the top dollar. I'd try to make sure there are NO dents in any of the tubes before bidding, though.

The seller is mistaken about the manufacture date; B7208 was the eighth frame made in February (B) of 1972, it wasn't made in August.

I know I'm biased, but to me the chrome Paramounts are among the most collectable vintage bikes you can buy. They're essentially museum pieces you can actually ride and enjoy.

That is the third consecutive listing for that bike. It originally was $1500 with a reserve, and an $1800 Buy It Now. I think it is too expensive.

$1800 or best offer. Offer what you're willing to spend. Who knows, maybe they'll take it.

I've watched this bike on E-Bay. I'd buy it if I had the extra money to pick it up. I agree with Scooper about the chrome Paramounts being a collectable bike.

That's the one. So it's on it's 4th listing @ 1600 buy it now. It may be up there for some time to come. I asked the seller about it and said 1600 was as low as they'd go. The 1800 or best offer thing was pretty pointless if it was only a 200 dollar difference. I was going to offer 1000, I might go as high as 1200, but can't go the extra mile for it. I don't have the cash either, though I know I will always be able to get the return on the investment down the road.
