PX 10 Super Comp ?

I have a old Peugeot , I have tried to figure out for a while. I have looked here at most threds checked with bike shops etc. I have gotten close but not just right. Today on ebay item 140019684013 is the frame with chrome forks and 531sl decals simplex dropouts and guy has stronglite hs and bb.The one I have has same hs not shure bout orig bb. I picked up mine used at a bikeshop in 1986-87. Bike shop guy did not know much about it. What do you experts know about this one.

Thanks Trash man.

Try browsing the Peugeot brochures in the Peugeot Show. They're in Dutch, but you can get a lot from the pictures and the written descriptions; Reynolds is Reynolds whether in Dutch or English.

Check your decals against classicrendezvous.com's Peugeot PX-10 database, and check your serial number, the leading digit of which should be the last digit of the year of manufacture. I predict you'll see an 8, 9, 0, or 1 in that position -- see my signature regarding my PKN-10 "Competition," the next model below the PX-10 "Super Competition."

Puegeot px10 ?

Serial # R4??0043 . I had bike repainted in 1988 or 89 so without sanding down the bb shell I cant get the two other numbers. I have searched around and have yet to figure it out for shure. I know it is 531sl tubes.stronglite hs, full chrome forks with lion simplex dropouts and it was bought used in 1986 or 87.Bike shop owner said it was a trade for a new bike. The shop was near Ft. Campbell Ky. and the shop owner said the guy brought it back from Europe. I just want to know for shure what it is.

Assuming the leading "4" denotes 19x4, we can quickly narrow that down.
1974: half-chrome stays and forks
1984: full-chrome forks; rear chrome on dropouts only; (right chainstay, as well???)
