Peugeot PX-10???

I was needing help on this one, I bought this bike from a guy who use to race bikes. He told me it was a PX-10 model, so I bought it. It does have a Hand Brazed, Super Competition Decals on the top tube. Any help would be Great. Thanks The serial number is B 0065206.

It sounds like a PX-10 to me. What's the serial number?

(My PKN-10 says has "Hand Brazed" and "Competition" decals and a 1980 x0xxxxxx serial number.)

Some of the "Super Competition" frames sold in 1979/1980 were designated as CFX models. They came as framesets only, and the components were added by the LBS or according to the request of the customer. Thus, you can find a wide variety of components on these frames. For instance, I have one that was originally outfitted with a Galli Groupo! ew

True, but to me a CFX does not differ functionally from a PX-10 with aftermarket components, so I would lump them into the same category.

I agree! It just gets a little confusing to look at the Peugeot catalogues and see this frame marked "CFX" and wonder how it fits into the PX10 hierarchy. It in fact is a PX10 (or whatever the top of the line bike was designated that particular year) with no components on it. ew

Congrats, Schwinniniowa. FYI, the bottom bracket cups are Swiss-threaded, so don't try to remove the fixed cup by turning it anticlockwise.
