    Phil Woods french cups with UN71????

    i am replacing the BB on a french threaded 1979 peugeot. i was told that i could use a shimano UN72 with phil woods rings. i am having trouble finding the UN72 but i have found the UN71, will the UN71 work with the phil rings???

    if you can take the driveside ring off...I daresay try it. On the un72 you have to punch it off gently but encouragingly. With a crowbar.

    so the drive side can be pried off on the UN72, maybe on the UN71, and definitely not on the UN73????
