Raleigh Serial No.'s
I once had a link to a web site which had a long list of serial no.'s. My computer crashed and I lost all my bike favorites. Just picked up a womens older Raleigh bike. Needs lots of TLC but looks pretty good Serial # is RK 858242, made in England, tan and dark brown paint, 3 speed, brooks seat, cotterbolts on cranks have R on them, fork looks like it could have a locking device installed. Any help? Frank

Frank, you can find a serial # chart at https://retroraleighs.com/dating.html, but keep in mind that it's not particularly accurate for older Raleighs. Kurt/Cudak88 is assembling a more accurate list and will hopefully chime in. At any rate, given the R nuts on your cotters, I'd guess your lady's Superbe is mid 70s.

Sounds like a DL-24 Superbe, made in Canada, July 1968.
The fork lock pegs it as a Superbe. R = Canada; K = July; 8 has to be 1968.
