Would anyone be interested in trading whole bikes?
I just got a Trek Elance 330, it's 56-58cm, not sure; but in very nice condition.
I'd be willing to trade it for a vintage road bike of similar quality, but smaller. Anthing from 47-52cm will do.
You see, I'm only 5'4" as a grown adult, with a long torso and shorter legs.
I just stripped down a frame, so I have some bits up for offer. Not sure what I'm looking for, but if it's something you need for a project, you can throw random bits at me and I'll probably say yes. Current bits:
Suntour Honor RD
Shimano 60 FD
pair of Dia Compe brake levers
pair of Dia Compe stem-shifters
Dia Compe centerpull brake calipers; front
Dia Compe sidepull brake calipers; back
1997 Vitali track, 1986 Cilo Swiss road, 2006 KHS Flite 100, 2009 top-secret track bike.
Have: Green Brooks pro
Want: Black Brooks Swallow and forbidden items
You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve
For trade. Nitto Deluxe Technomic 120mm. Near new condition. Just a tiny zigzag line where it gets hidden in the fork anyways. Yep, the same one on the Rivendell site. It will go down to a normal height on a 60cm and above. Not as long as the regular technomic.
I'm looking for the same stem in a 90-100mm, or something equally as nice in a 26.0 clamp and 22.2 quill, in 90-100mm. Nothing black hopefully, and nothing obviously modern looking. IE: Oval shank, rough black finish, etc.,,,,BD

have: 84 Raleigh USA Super Course (approx 52cm), see my posts at the end of
'84 Super Course joins the Raleigh USA fleet!
84 Peugeot PGN10 maroon 56cm fixed w/ surly hub mavic rim origin 8 cranks, more.
Have 110 and 122.5 shimano bbs. I think they're both UN54 (if not, then UN51).
want: touring (or rigid mtn) bike with canti brakes, front and rear rack mounts. Need not be complete or expensive. I like a 52-54cm road size, shorter reach, and I'm in MA.
Also, bottom bracket shorter than 110 (68 wide with english threads). Have a 110 (barely used) and 122.5 (used) shimano both UN54 (if not, then UN51).
Albatross (or similar) handlebars.
16t freewheel for flip flop
I'm sure I could think of more.

Have late 80s Victory group. Still using the front brake but am in the process of getting a replacement. Brake levers are almost new. Took them off for the C Record aero levers also available. Shimano 39t sg 130mm. Not pictured DA 7800 crankset 172.5 53/39 3k miles.
Want: Ultimately Record/Chorus carbon ut compact cranks. I'm also open to other trades that will get me where I want to go.
Have NOS 120mm 3T stem. I bought this from a bike shop that was closing its doors. I'm hesitant to call it NOS as its obviously been mounted but the shop didn't sell used parts. So my guess its someone mounted it and didn't like it so didn't buy it. Still has original price tag on it. Very nice condition, one or two shelf wear spots, and scuffing from where it was inserted but still very nice. Its not quite chrome, more like smoked chrome or something.
Looking for Shimano 600 or Dura-ace stem in ride-able condition, 110-120mm preferably but looking something to replace a nasty profile stem on the Vitus I just found, and Italian isn't exactly what i need...
I have a set of really interesting commuter wheels that I have no use for.
The front hub is a Bridgestone Tentomushi dynohub laced to a 27 X 1 3/8" stainless steel rim. I also have the front light for this hub.
The rear is a Shimano Nexus 3 speed hub with a drum brake. It is also laced to a 27 X 1 3/8" stainless rim. I have all the shifter parts.
I also have a rear axle mounted center stand and a large rear rack.
I am looking for high end 700c tires. Race X lites, Pro 3's etc. Forbidden items.
I'm sorry; I haven't been into this thread in awhile: what are "forbidden items"?
Is anyone possibly interested in trading a Brooks Imperial for a usable, nice condition B72 or B66?
Mine has about 500ish miles on it and Poofide was applied as per the instructions. I loosened the laces up a bit, but I have not touched the tension adjustment.
It's comfortable, but it looks out of place on my 3-speed.
Saddle for saddle, shipping for shipping (USPS). Please PM me if you may be interested. Thanks
I recently picked up an '87 Raleigh Technium 440 that I am updating with some extra components I have laying around. So I threw some Shimano STI "brifters" on there (the front an RX100 and for the rear, a Sora), an RSX rear derailer (7sp), a set of RSX brakes, and a 700cm wheelset (Mavic rims/Shimano RSX hubs) and 7sp cassette.
So here' my problem. I have the brakes mounted and the wheels on and as I started adjusting the brake pad positioning I realized that I can't get them to come down far enough to grab the rims. So apparently I need long reach breaks.
So I have a decent (B+/A-) set of Shimano RSX brakes (dual pivot) with a 1" to 1.5" reach (~25mm to 38mm) to trade for some equally decent dual-pivot brakes with some longer reach (I need around 1.75" to 2.25").
hey classic folks
heres a 55cm 80's lugged tommasini prestige frame/fork. i dont have the energy or cash to put toward outfitting this gorgeous frame with the parts it deserves, and having 3 wrecks in the past year im not willing to risk it.
looking to commit a sin and trade for something late 90s or 2000s similar sized (54 to 55 top tube) tig welded and factory mass produced. looks not important, but do help.
You're going to have lots of friends, rather quickly, I'd assume.
I'm not a doctor, but I watch them on TV.
1982 Lotus Classique
1987 D'Arienzo (Basso) SLX
2006 Cinelli XLR8R-2
2008 BMC Roadracer SL01
2014 Wraith Hustle
2014 Wraith Paycheck (pending)
Why doesn't anything like this in a 63cm ever come along?
still trying to unload this one... 54cm
