Geez! I forgot to show you guys my Bridgestone
I grabbed this '84 400 back in August for $100, and ended up deciding it would replace my old Moto as my daily ride. Got busy with one thing and another and forgot to put up a pic after I finished Swantakifying it(Wright W3N saddle, Avenir fenders, Union halogen headlamp, clubman-style bars with barcons).
Smooth, comfy, nary a rattle or squeak. I can't even remember what the Motobecane was like anymore.

What handlebars are they? maybe upside-down cruisers?

Very nice Mike! The bars are a nice Bridgestone touch since I think they are about the only mfg that had the guts to send a bike to production with them. I've got the exact same model that I've had since new and its been a great utilitarian bike from touring to urban use.

Great looking ride! I like the kickstand! How do you power the headlight? A bottle generator? And where do you buy them?

The bars are indeed inverted North Roads; the originals were SR Road Champions. The kickstand is a neat little aftermarket alloy unit I bought at the local Orchard Supply Hardware for $7.00. The headlamp is driven by a Union bottle dyno, with all 3W going to the headlamp. This particular dyno I got on eBay; it's one of the later ones with a built-in voltage regulator. Check Yellow Jersey -- they still handle them. The tail lamp is a battery powered CyclePro LED unit. Eventually I think I'll replace the bottle dyno with a Union bottom bracket -- if and when I can find one, or a Shimano hub unit. I especially like the Avenir fenders; nice and long, rattle-free. Unfortunately I don't think they're available anymore.
