Tell Me Your Wishlist

A local shop is closing up after 40 years of business and is cleaning out the back of old stock. He is old school and doesn't want to hassle with selling too much on the Internet. He has an adjustable Cinelli track stem that I am giving the big eye and has mentioned Stronglight, Simplex, Campy and Atlas. I will be going to see the rest of the treasures hopefully next week. I am not in this for money, I prefer to spread the wealth to fellow enthusiasts. Let me know what you are looking for, please be as specific as possible, list it here and I will see if he has the item. He didn't say anything about framesets, only parts but I will keep my eyes open.

My local bike kitchen would appreciate some tools.
Mainly the more exotic stuff, but anything would be nice, I'll see what's needed.
And for me: 27 X 1 1/4 tires, but mainly if it's really cheap, otherwise shipping would kill it.
An analogue speedometer, that would be the ultimate.

My wish list:

Cinelli Adjustable stem

Campy Strada/BMX or Dura-Ace Track cranks/chainring (165mm/46t)

A nice set of track drops

A steel track frame 53-55 in size. A nice road frame from Italy or Great Britan would be nice.

Brooks saddle

Tubular tyres

Tubular tire cage

Rear/ front rack

Rear bag for saddle (toolbag or bigger)

Nice fenders, preferably aluminum

Thanks for this! I'll send you a PM with more ways you can reach me.

I especially would love that stem! Save it for me!

Italian threaded headset 1" of course
nutted short reach side pull brake set-Campy, shimano, whatever (front only would work too)
Leather saddles-Brooks, Ideale, etc.
other saddles-Unicanitor, rolls, concor, turbo, ?
Cinelli track stem 2A
track stuff: 144BCD rings, hubs, bars, stems, cogs
tools-headset press and assortment of cone wrenches
just in case frame size is jumbo as in 63cm or bigger

It is sad when a bike shop goes away. But, I have been there for a liquidation and that part was great for me.

wow!
My list:
Track stem cinelli/ambrosio/3ttt 100-130mm Max. $20
Track bars Same brands as above Max $20
I would be interested in Nitto stems and bars also steel or alloy Max $15ea.
Campy track cranks. Max $50
Campy track cogs Max $15ea.
Record track headset Max $40
Early 70s record standard reach brakes with flat quick relesases. Max $50
early 70s Nuovo record rear derailleur Max $40
early 70s record front derailleur (closed flat cage-no outer lip) Max price $20
Record cranks in 175mm or longer. Max pricce $50
My list is long obviously I don't want to spend to much but if the item is in great shape and in my range I would be stoked.

If you happen to spot one I wouldnt mind getting ahold one of those 'lugged appearance' stems for my bianchi, prefably longer reach 100mm-120mm length, but would settle for 90mm if all is!

French parts; seat posts (quill would be ideal), cotterless BBs, and 165 cranks in particular. Non-fluted standard seatposts. Any track hub. A lockring hook. Interesting saddles, with a focus on leather or white. Just about anything Campy, so long as it's cheap - I'm sorely lacking in Italian parts.

I sold the Stronglight crank off my bike a while back thinking I was going to replace it with something else (I kept the BB). If I can get another Stronglight crank that will fit cheap enough, I'll be happy. It was a 49D, but anything that will fit that square taper will be fine. If you find any Touriste rings I call dibs ...

Used is fine. Another option would be T/A Cyclotouriste with appropriate BB (which I think might be French, but I'll have to verify).

If there are any rims, a nice set of alloy 27"s? Need a complete front, and a bare 36 hole rim for the back. Also need a set of BMX rims from the 80's if any are available. Araya 7L's in chrome, preferably. Suzue BMX hubs too. If they're anodized, then blue(same for the rims). Need a set of two rims, and two hubs.(front/rear) Every shop had a BMX phase in the 80's, hehe. ,,,,BD

It would be hard to be specific on this, but could you list any literature this fellow might have? This stuff needs to be archived and uploaded to the web for all to see if possible. If everyone could buy some of it and scan it and send it to:

http://www.bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs

or something similar, that would be great!

iab,

I'm in serious need of some 70's Tubular rims, 36 hole drilling if possible.
Could use campy hubs to match but those I can find on the bay.
I also need an english threaded bottom bracket.

and if in all that stuff you find any old shoes US 8, Euro 42 I'm in.
either touring shoes like the old Avocets or race shoes like deugi or Dettos

Marty

- BobHufford beat me to the punch in asking for TA Cyclotouriste chainrings! I'll get in line after Bob for those.

- Also interested in TA cranks, in 170 or 172.5mm size. (yes, they are French and I'm told they may not be exactly compatible with all Stronglight, Bob ... TA requires a 23mm crank puller, and older Stronglight is like 23.15mm or something?)

- 36 hole tubular rims, Fiamme Ergal Gold Label preferred.

- Good vintage derailleurs - front triple, any good rear (have non-indexed friction shifters, 5 cog cassette).

Thanks for doing this!

Yeah, I know -- If I do go with the T/A rings I'll need to find cranks and BB as the Stronglight BB I have now has the unique size/taper and will need to mate up with Stronglight or something compatible. I was planning to go that route anyway -- I just haven't muscled the current BB out yet, but (as I said) if I can locate another Stronglight crank cheap enough, I'll just put one back on. Also, I could use a nice, early bottle cage or two. Something like T/A or REG. Bar mounted would be preferred.

iab - this is quite altruistic of you. I tip my hat to your sentiment, and consideration for your virtual friends. In case you're wondering - the list is sort of long, but I would feel bad getting more than a couple items if it caused others to miss out on something that would help their projects out.

Spokes (between 296 and 305 mm) and nipples
Spoke wrench
Calipers
Bottom bracket spanner
Cloth or plastic bar tape
27" (aka 630) x 1-1/4" alloy clincher rims
Ale, REG or T/A bottle cages (also would prefer bar mounted, but not picky beyond it being silver-ish color)
Generator hub
Brake blocks or brake pads
Fender stays
fixed gear cog (15 or 16 teeth, 3/32")
Single speed freewheel (17 or 18 teeth, 3/32")
Tubular tire(s)
SunTour Cyclone or Superbe derailleurs/bar-end shifters

I'd love some DT clamp on shifter levers. I'm flat out, and need some spares. Brand not important.
