You know those little screws?...

the ones in horizontal rear drop-outs, that adjust wheelbase and center the wheel in the frame?
Whats the proper orientation of those screws in the frame, do the springs go on the inside or outside of the drop-out?

right, and the screwheads are inside the slot, thru the spring, and thru the DO threading...the ends of the screws get the little caps of assorted style. So in practice you can turn the little caps with your fingers CW, to extend the screws in the DO slots, but to back them up (shorten them in the slot) you must use a screwdriver on the scrwheads...all this assumes you keep the threads clean and lubed, and the screws straight!
