Ideas for a Bridgestone XO-1 paint job?
I got lucky and happened upon a lost XO-1 frame. It's seen some of life and needs some love.
It will need a paint job or powder coating...
I can't decide if I want to bring it back to it's construction pumpkin or as close as I can.. or if I wanna just paint it something else. I'm thinking if I paint it something else, then maybe a metallic burnt orange to hint at it's original color or just go way off to a nice deep burgundy or just glossy black. And maybe highlight the lugs and the fork crown with something else .. like chrome or something.
I've been looking at 55/rad's bike and man.. those are sweet. So maybe you folks have some suggestions that I haven't thought of....
THanks.
Oh.. thought I'd add a link to what the orig construction pumpkin looks like: https://www.flickr.com/photos/89119745@N00/308191494/

Depends entirely on your budget. If you want a nice paint job, go to an auto body place and look at the paint chips. If you don't, ask around to find a guy who will powder coar it. Don't forget the clear coat to protect the finish.

I love the original color. if it were mine I'd try to get it as close to the original as my budget would allow.

I've got a friend with a X0-1 in that color she's had since new. Fortunately she's about my size. Unfortunately she'll probably never sell it.
